Company

About Order.co Order.co is an AI-powered procurement platform that connects purchasing, approvals, payments, and reporting in one intelligent system–so teams can place orders faster, cut manual work, and keep operations running smoothly. Whether you’re managing one location or 100s, Order.co simplifies the entire procurement-to-payment process. Order.co AI sources the best vendors to deliver an average of 5% cash back on purchases, reduces invoice processing time by over 80%, and flags risks before they disrupt operations. Sync data with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, and more to control spend in real time, close books faster, and forecast with confidence. Set custom budgets and approvals by user, location, or GL code – without slowing teams down. With AI that learns from your unique buying history and guides every step of the journey, smarter purchasing has never been easier. Brands like Dolce & Gabbana, WeWork, [solidcore], and Hugo Boss rely on Order.co to unlock more float, control purchases at the item level, and realize hard-dollar ROI – unlike any other procurement or spend management platform on the market. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in New York City, Order.co has raised $70M in funding from industry-leading investors like MIT, Stage 2 Capital, Rally Ventures, 645 Ventures, and more. Order.co has been recognized as a ‘Top 100 Fintech Company’ by The Financial Technology Report, ‘AI Procurement Platform of the Year 2025’ by RetailTech BreakThrough, and listed on Inc. 5000’s ‘Fastest Growing Companies’ for two years.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day People partner for designated teams across Order.co, building a deep understanding of their goals, talent, and organizational challenges.
  • Coach managers on feedback, performance, development, communication, team dynamics, and employee engagement.
  • Help managers diagnose People challenges, think through their options, and take effective action rather than simply providing an HR answer.
  • Build trusted relationships with employees and leaders and serve as a thoughtful, accessible resource for People-related questions and challenges.
  • Identify themes across the teams you support and proactively surface opportunities to improve manager and team effectiveness.
  • Partner with the SVP of People and business leaders on talent planning, organizational changes, role clarity, succession, and workforce planning.
  • Support performance and development cycles, talent reviews, and calibration processes.
  • Help leaders identify high performers, development opportunities, retention risks, and capability gaps.
  • Support organizational changes from planning through communication and implementation.
  • Translate company-wide People programs into effective execution within the teams you support.
  • Coach managers through performance concerns, feedback, development plans, difficult conversations, and employee exits.
  • Manage employee relations matters with sound judgment, empathy, consistency, and appropriate documentation.
  • Conduct investigations and partner with the SVP of People and Legal on more complex or higher-risk situations.
  • Help ensure our policies and People practices are applied consistently while recognizing that good HR requires judgment in addition to strong process.
  • Roll up your sleeves
  • We're a lean People team, so no job is too small!
  • Partner closely with our Director of People Operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, leaves, benefits, employee changes, and HRIS workflows.
  • Build fluency in our People systems and processes and provide operational coverage if/when needed.
  • Help maintain accurate documentation, employee records, and People processes.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, document, automate, and improve recurring People workflows.
  • Pitch in across People initiatives and operational priorities as the needs of the business evolve.
  • Managers view you as a trusted partner and increasingly come to you early when navigating People and team challenges.
  • The teams you support receive consistent, high-quality People partnership without relying on the SVP of People for every decision.
  • Managers are more capable of handling feedback, performance, and employee challenges effectively.
  • Performance and employee relations issues are identified earlier and managed with greater consistency.
  • You've developed the judgment and organizational context to take on increasingly complex HRBP work as Order.co grows.

Qualification

Human ResourcesManagement & Leadership
  • 5+ years of progressive People/HRBP experience, ideally combining People generalist experience with dedicated business partnership.

  • Experience coaching managers through performance, feedback, development, employee relations, and other day-to-day leadership challenges.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to recognize when you can independently move something forward and when a situation warrants escalation or additional partnership.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including comfort navigating difficult or sensitive conversations.
  • A practical, solutions-oriented approach to People – you care about getting to the right outcome vs. adding process for the sake of process.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and roles aren't narrowly defined.
  • Curiosity about the business and a desire to understand how People decisions contribute to company performance.
  • Have worked at a growing company where People team members wear multiple hats.
  • Have supported a mix of functions such as Engineering, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations.
