Responsibilities

  • We're looking for a strategic, creative Content Marketing Manager who knows how to build content that builds community. This isn't a role for someone who just wants to write blogs. We're looking for someone who thinks deeply about how content shapes trust, drives discovery, and turns our audience into loyal advocates. You'll own our content strategy end-to-end: building the content engine that powers our external presence and supports teams across the company, leading brand campaigns, managing our Content Marketing Coordinator, and growing the community of pros who rely on Topline Pro to run and grow their businesses. If you love building systems as much as you love crafting content that resonates with real people, and you have the portfolio to prove it, this role is for you.
  • Own content strategy and the editorial calendar across website, email, social, YouTube, and community.
  • Build a repeatable content engine that powers our external presence and supports cross-functional teams (sales collateral, product marketing, enablement, etc).
  • Manage the Content Marketing Coordinator, setting direction while they support production and editing.
  • Own our content library (DAM) so every team can easily find and use the right assets.
  • Lead one-off brand campaigns, from seasonal pushes to announcements.
  • Create content that speaks authentically to home service pros (roofers, landscapers, painters, cleaners) and feels uniquely Topline Pro.
  • Produce a range of formats: case studies, how-to guides, video scripts, testimonials, social friendly, and long-form.
  • Collect interviews oof pros and turn their stories into content that builds trust and drives organic growth.
  • Use content to fuel and support growth of an engaged pro community through forums, Facebook groups, newsletters, and events.
  • Build a thought leadership program for Topline Pro and key internal voices via articles, podcasts, speaking, and LinkedIn.
  • Cultivate relationships with pro advocates and industry experts who amplify our brand.
  • Partner with Performance Marketing to create content for paid ads.
  • Develop and own a repeatable playbook for distributing content that drives sales through SEO/GEO/AEO.
  • Act as a player / coach with the ability to drive direction while being comfortable jumping in to execute when needed.
  • Track performance, iterate fast, and scale what resonates.

Qualification

MarketingManagement & LeadershipCreative & MediaSoftware
  • 4-5 years of experience in content marketing, brand storytelling, or editorial — with a portfolio that shows range and craft.
  • Experience managing and developing at least one direct report, including setting priorities and giving clear creative direction.
  • Proven ability to develop content strategy, not just execute on it — you know how to build a plan, and the systems behind it, from scratch.
  • Experience leading integrated brand campaigns from concept through launch.
  • Experience building or scaling a brand community — online groups, newsletters, ambassador or advocate programs, live or virtual events.
  • Track record developing thought leadership content: executive ghostwriting, contributed articles, podcast or speaking program management, or LinkedIn brand building.
  • Strong writing and editing skills across formats: short-form social, long-form guides, video scripts, email sequences.
  • A genuine curiosity about and empathy for small business owners — you understand their world and speak their language.
  • Comfortable using data to guide decisions: you track performance, form hypotheses, and adjust accordingly.
  • Experience with SEO fundamentals and content distribution, plus familiarity with GEO/AEO.
  • Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, WordPress, or similar CMS, marketing automation, and digital asset management platforms.
  • Collaborative instincts — you work well across brand, product, sales, and design.
  • A natural storyteller who can make complex or dry topics feel human and compelling.
  • Someone who thinks in systems — you don't just create content, you build the machine that creates it.
  • A leader who loves helping others grow — you give clear direction, great feedback, and room to run.
  • Genuinely excited about community — you understand that great content is a conversation, not a broadcast, and you know how to build spaces where people want to show up.
  • A natural thought leader developer — you can spot an interesting perspective in a founder or subject matter expert and shape it into something the industry actually wants to read.
  • Self-directed and proactive; you bring ideas to the table and see them through.
  • Energized by working closely with the people your content is about — you love getting on the phone with a Pro to find the real story.
  • Motivated by impact and craft in equal measure.

Benefits

  • $120K–$140K base salary range + equity
  • Computer and workspace enhancements
  • 401(k) plan (non-matching)
  • Unlimited vacation, 9 company holidays including election day, and 1 personal volunteer day a year
  • Company-paid Wellhub membership for fitness and wellness
  • Dinner covered with Uber Eats + a stocked kitchen to keep you fueled
  • Opportunity to own the content and community brand for a product that changes the lives of home service Pros
