Company

About Ocean Infinity Ocean Infinity is a technology-driven company transforming how ocean operations are carried out. We design, build and operate robotic and uncrewed systems to perform complex work at sea - safer, smarter and with less environmental impact. By combining advanced robotics, software and deep operational experience, we prove that a new, more sustainable model for working in the oceans is not just possible, but already happening. We’re a business built for people who are curious, pragmatic and comfortable with complexity. We value plain speaking, thoughtful challenge and sound decision-making in uncertain conditions. Our leaders set the direction, but it’s our people - engineers, technologists and operators, who turn ambition into real-world outcomes.

Job description

Overview

  • At Ocean Infinity, we're on a bold mission to subsea data using innovative technology.
  • Using cutting-edge robotics, autonomous technology and world-class software, we're transforming how complex operations are carried out at sea. Our uncrewed systems are making ocean exploration and operations safer, smarter and more sustainable, helping unlock the vast potential of our oceans while reducing environmental impact. 🌍
  • This isn't a vision for the future. It's happening right now.
  • As we continue to push the boundaries of innovation and redefine what's possible in the maritime industry, we're looking for exceptional talent to join our fast-growing team.
  • The Principal Product Manager is a senior role within Ocean Infinity’s Product team, responsible for defining and driving the
  • product strategy, vision and roadmap for one or more products within our portfolio. This role sets the strategic direction for
  • product development, balancing commercial objectives, client outcomes, and technical feasibility. The Principal Product
  • Manager serves as the primary bridge between leadership, engineering, and key clients; shaping how products evolve to
  • deliver sustained competitive advantage. The ideal candidate will bring deep product expertise, a track record of scaling
  • products successfully, and exceptional stakeholder influence at all levels.
  • What you will do!
  • Own and articulate the product vision, strategy, and multi-horizon roadmap for one or more products in our portfolio, securing executive and stakeholder alignment and buy-in.
  • Be able to prioritise what to focus on and ensure backlogs and roadmaps across multiple product teams are strategically aligned, clearly defined, and continuously refined.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement at senior and executive levels to shape product direction, translating organisational strategy and client insights into high-impact product initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Product Designers to frame problems, run discovery, and translate user research and design thinking into validated product decisions.
  • Work effectively with Product Design, Engineering and QA to plan and deliver incremental value against the product roadmap, breaking strategy into releasable increments that reach users early and often.
  • Lead product reviews with senior stakeholders, providing strategic recommendations on product direction, investment trade-offs, and priority shifts.
  • Define and oversee scope, resource allocation, and delivery timelines across one or more product workstreams.
  • Establish and evolve product development processes, frameworks, and best practices across the product organisation to drive consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Champion quality and compliance standards across their products, working with QA and engineering leadership to embed robust testing and assurance practices.
  • Represent their products to the wider business and executive team, delivering clear narratives on progress, strategic pivots, and data-driven insights shaping the roadmap.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of product documentation, including user guides, technical specifications, and release communications, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • What we look for!
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, with previous principal product management role or at least 3 years in a senior role.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading and scaling Agile product teams across multiple concurrent products or programmes.
  • Deep expertise in data-driven product decision-making, including user research, A/B testing, product analytics, and market analysis to inform strategic priorities.
  • Strong working knowledge of Design Thinking and modern UX practice — discovery, journey mapping, prototyping, and usability testing — with a track record of collaborating effectively with Product Designers and giving constructive experience design input and critique.
  • Exceptional strategic judgement and decision-making capability, with a proven ability to make high-stakes trade- offs, influence cross-functional leadership, and drive alignment across competing priorities.
  • Ability to craft compelling product narratives and visualisations that communicate strategy, progress, and value to audiences ranging from development teams to C-suite executives.
  • Outstanding analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to synthesise complex business, technical, and market inputs into coherent product strategies and actionable plans.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive and non-technical audiences and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • C2 or native English level proficiency.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly driven and entrepreneurial, with the ability to operate autonomously at a strategic level, shaping the product agenda and rallying teams around a shared vision
