Interu - built by iov42
Introduce accountability, integrity and trust.
Responsibilities
- Define our ideal customer profile (ICP) and priority segments across importers, traders, suppliers and their supply chains, and extend them as we move beyond EUDR into new regulations, commodities and markets.
- Own positioning and messaging, shifting the story from regulatory compliance to supply chain necessity, drawing on the knowledge and input of your Senior Marketing and Communications Manager.
- Shape pricing and packaging with the CEO and CPTO, including how the combined product offer is priced.
- Build the case for why customers should stay with Interu rather than build their own, and equip Business Development and Customer Success to make that case with customers and prospects.
- Own product marketing: know the product hands-on and understand it as well as our customers do, and turn that into clear value stories for each segment.
- Lead launches and feature positioning with the product team, so that what we ship lands with the market, with your Senior Marketing and Communications Manager sharing delivery of launch content and communications.
- Act as a challenge partner to product on what the market needs and how new features should be positioned.
- Own the marketing plan, budget and channels, and review where external agencies still add value versus building in-house.
- Hold overall accountability for brand identity, PR, content, events and speaking opportunities, and partnership marketing (with partners, certification bodies and industry groups) so Interu is visible where our customers and competitors are. Much of the day-to-day delivery will be led or shared by your Senior Marketing and Communications Manager.
- Design and deliver the sales and customer enablement toolkit with the BD and CS teams, so pitches, materials and customer communications reflect the agreed positioning.
- Own the website, campaigns, SEO and marketing automation, deciding the stack with the IT lead and working with your Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, agencies and AI tools to execute.
- Use customer, prospect and partner feedback, call transcripts and product data to refine messaging continuously.
- Lead, coach and develop our Senior Marketing and Communications Manager: set clear objectives, delegate meaningful ownership, give regular and honest feedback, and support their career progression.
- Make the call on the shape of the wider marketing team, including the right balance of in-house capability, agencies and AI tools.
- Create a team culture of clarity, trust and shared credit, where good ideas can come from anywhere in the team.
- Build internal marketing capability: give the wider company the language, materials and confidence to tell the Interu story consistently.
- Define and report the marketing metrics that matter (pipeline contribution, conversion, cost per qualified lead, win rate and expansion), and use them to decide where budget goes.
Qualification
Required
- Clear evidence of a strategic marketing role, not just campaign delivery: you have set ICP, positioning and pricing before.
- A proven, people-first leader: you have managed and developed experienced team members, delegated real ownership, and helped people progress in their careers.
- Able to step into a team with established knowledge and build on it, respecting and making the most of the expertise already in the room.
- Comfortable being accountable for outcomes while sharing the work and the credit.
- Experience marketing a B2B technology or SaaS product, ideally through a repositioning or scale-up phase.
- Experience in supply chain, trade, sustainability or RegTech, or a track record of getting up to speed fast in a complex, regulated domain.
- Comfortable across the full marketing mix: brand, PR, content, events, partnerships and demand generation.
- Data-driven: you set targets, measure what works and change course when it doesn’t.
- Comfortable leading a small team while staying hands-on in a scale-up.
- Self-driven product learner who seeks out what you need rather than waiting to be fed information.
- Technically curious and fluent with AI tools in your day-to-day work.
- Organised, clear and a strong communicator, able to translate between technical, commercial and non-technical audiences.
Preferred
- You have repositioned a product from a single use case or regulation to a broader platform.
- You have hands-on experience with modern marketing tooling (CMS, marketing automation, analytics) and AI-assisted content.
- You are experienced in marketing to both buyers and their suppliers, or in a two-sided or network product.
- You have previously worked in fast-paced startups or small cross-functional teams.
Benefits
- A mission-led role in a small team making a tangible impact on sustainability and supply chain transparency
- Ownership of how Interu is positioned and taken to market as it grows beyond EUDR
- The chance to lead and shape the marketing team, working alongside an experienced Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, and to help develop their career
- The chance to work alongside curious, kind, and collaborative teammates
- Meaningful autonomy, and a team that values clarity over hierarchy
- A competitive salary
- 25 days paid leave plus paid public holidays
- An enhanced pension scheme
- Hybrid working
- A strategic challenge on a product that can make a difference
- Private Healthcare and Life Assurance cover
