• Community Finance builds inclusive, thriving resident-centered communities that catalyze opportunity and promote well-being. The team originates debt and invests in the low income housing tax credit through proprietary and multi-investor fund structures.
• Identify, source and lead the origination efforts of LIHTC multi-funds
• Cultivate and develop deep relationships with Syndicators, leveraging existing industry connections
• Provide market intelligence to inform sourcing strategy and deal flow
• Partner with internal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and credit policies.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Represent Capital One in relevant industry board and community engagements

Required

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience
• At least 5 years of experience in business development, underwriting, asset management, or portfolio management or any combination of the four in the field of affordable housing or commercial real estate

Preferred

• 11+ years of experience in affordable housing or community development
• 3+ years of experience with Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)
• 4+ years of experience in community development lending or investments
• Deep understanding of LIHTC Multi-funds, including upper-tier review and expertise
• The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
• Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
• This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
