About ATOMS Careers page All-in-one Restaurant Operating System. Today, restaurants run on dozens of disconnected systems, POS, delivery apps, kiosks, payments, and ordering platforms that rarely work well together. Otter is building the operating system that connects them. Our platform unifies ordering, POS, kiosks, payments, and restaurant operations into a single system used by over 100,000+ restaurants around the world. We integrate with hundreds of platforms and process millions of transactions. We’re building the technology layer for the future of restaurants.

Responsibilities

  • As Product Designer for Platform, you’ll define the experience architecture and critical cross-product systems that shape how Otter works as a unified platform. Your work will influence the foundations every product team builds on and some of the most important journeys across the customer lifecycle. You will
  • Define platform-level experience architecture across navigation, hierarchy, permissions, configuration, entitlements, and shared interaction patterns.
  • Lead critical cross-product workflows such as onboarding, activation, setup, upsell, and expansion.
  • Simplify complex, workflow-heavy tools by creating clear mental models, scalable interaction frameworks, and reusable product patterns.
  • Partner deeply with Product and Engineering to align user experience with underlying system models, platform capabilities, and technical constraints.
  • Work closely with the Design System team to translate shared product patterns into reusable, consistent UI foundations.
  • Embrace new technologies and ways of working to prototype faster, iterate more effectively, and raise the quality of design outcomes.
  • Explore how AI and new technologies can lower the barrier to complex software and shift experiences from “using tools” to “getting outcomes as a service,” with strong judgment about when to use them—and when not to.

Qualification

  • Proven ability to define scalable experience models, frameworks, and patterns that work across multiple products, teams, or customer journeys.
  • Excellent product judgment, including the ability to simplify complexity while balancing usability, flexibility, and technical constraints.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and influence, with the ability to drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Design, and other stakeholders.
  • Comfort working with complex system models, including permissions, configuration, object relationships, states, dependencies, and edge cases.
  • Experience partnering closely with Design System teams and understanding the relationship between product architecture and reusable UI foundations.
  • Adaptable and forward-looking in how design gets done, with meaningful use of emerging technologies such as AI, prototyping, and implementation tools to improve speed and quality.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and proactively identifying opportunities beyond a single feature or product area.
