Responsibilities
- Now that we've validated MVP and product-market fit, we're looking for a third person to join this entrepreneurial journey as a Co-Founder CMO. Working directly with the CEO, you define and drive the full marketing strategy: acquisition, brand, content, and community.
- Shape and carry our identity as a cultural brand, beyond a simple social app
- Keep the voice consistent across social media channels
- Translate the founding vision into a language the brand can carry into every new geography
- Lead the expansion in the first 6-8 launching hubs
- Sharpen the freemium funnel: from discovering the grid to converting to membership
- Own the acquisition KPIs: CPL, CAC, LTV, retention by city
- Collaborate with the CEO on social media strategy & content production
- Build the TikTok strategy from scratch
- Own and run the marketing budget as the company grows
- Report regularly to the founders with dashboards and recommendations
Qualification
- 7+ years in marketing, ideally in consumer tech, community, or lifestyle.
- Proven full-stack marketing: paid acquisition and content creation both
- Experience in an early-stage startup and or in an environment with high autonomy: you've built a marketing strategy from the ground up and you're not scared of navigating uncertainty
- Strong cultural fluency: you know what it takes to build a brand that lives inside culture
- Previous entrepreneurial experience is a plus
- Fluent in English required; mastering another European language is a plus (Spanish, French, German)
Benefits
- Equity-based co-founder role: no salary at this stage, you build for ownership, not for pay as the other 2 cofounders
- Full autonomy to shape brand, growth, and content as the company expands
Company
Pulp is a consumer internet company creating the modern social hub for queer connection: shaping how a generation of non-straight women, trans and non-binary people meet, express themselves, and build community offline, in every major city. At Pulp, we're focused on solving a problem our team has run into for years: there's no easy way to meet queer people offline, and when you do, it's confined to certain spaces on certain nights of the week. That's why we set out to build an ubiquitous social app enabling spontaneous encounters anywhere, anytime. Pulp is for the full range of connection: platonic, romantic, sexual, and everything in between. For the friendship that starts over a drink and the drink that starts something else. For anyone tired of typing and ready to meet. For a generation done with waiting. Members-only. Launching in Berlin first.
