Financial Analyst - Fixed Term Contract

Prepare and analyze concession financials for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory accounts, including HFM submissions and audit support. Responsibilities
- Assist in monthly, quarterly and half year/full year reporting cycles by
- Preparing accurate and timely financial information, variance analysis, and supporting commentary for concession financials by set deadlines and submission in HFM (including the review of external MSA provider management accounts where applicable).
- Assisting in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets with variance analysis and commentary for review.
- Completing half-year and full-year reporting in line with strict BB Group reporting deadlines, including detailed HFM submission.
- Operating the monthly swap valuation toolkit (such as FIS or similar)
- Preparation of regular and ad hoc financial reports and analysis;
- Coordination and preparation of appropriate backup schedules to support external auditors for financial audits.
- Updates to financial models and application of accounting overlays;
- Support preparation of statutory accounts investment holding legal entities, including
- the application of technical accounting judgements
- working closely with external auditors and BBI directors to obtain respective approvals by Group deadlines
- Review and submission of compliance statements for investment holding entities and use of Balfour Beatty Company Secretarial database (Blueprint)
- Contribute to structured risk reporting by collaborating with operational teams and senior leadership team to ensure timely updates, supporting internal control processes and SBU-level risk communications.
- Contribute to the organisation of graduate tasks, including planning, providing regular feedback on performance, and maintaining good levels of engagement
